Funeral services for Mr. Charlie Boles, 99, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, May 11, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Old Antioch Cemetery in the Old Antioch community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 - 10 P.M., and Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Boles passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005, at the Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, Tennessee. He was born January 1, 1906, in Clay County to the late Haywood Boles & Leah Reels Boles. He was married to the late Majorie Stacey Boles, who passed away in January, 2001. Mr. Boles was a logger and farmer. He was affiliated with the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by 1 Son: R.C. Boles; 1 Daughter: Mary Frances Boles; 9 Brothers: Thomas, Rufus, Larmie, Jack, Howard, Willie, Doomer, Ronald, and Arnold Boles; 1 Sister: Martha Emerton; and his step-mother: Ruby York Boles. Survivors include 2 Sons: Lonnie and Donnie Boles both of Gainesboro, TN; 5 Daughters: Ona Goolsby and Darlene Pennington, both of Gainesboro, TN; Mary Lee Boles of Celina, TN; Ruby Phillips of Livingston, TN; and Lucy Pyles of Monticello, KY; 2 Brothers: Eugene (Abner) Boles and William (Tom) Boles, both of Celina, TN; and 2 Sisters: Wilma Boles of Celina, TN, and Dora May Parks of Sparta, TN. 22 Grandchildren and 32 Great-Grandchildren also survive. Bro. Don Bryant will officiate at the services.
