Charles L. Clark

Funeral services for Mr. Charles L. Clark, 71, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Granville Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Clark passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2009, at Nashville Veteran's Administration Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born May 10, 1937, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Walter Lee and Willie Veteto Clark. On December 12, 1981, he was married to Marie Brown Clark, who survives. He was a pipeliner and a member of the Liberty Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Felicia Apple Carroll; 1 Brother: Junior Clark; and 1 Brother-in-Law: Garland Mathis. Survivors include his Wife: Marie Brown Clark of Granville, TN; 1 Son: Donnie Apple of Nashville, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Bill and Ryan Carroll and Michaela Renea Apple; 2 Brothers: James Roland (Thelma Wheeler) Clark of Portland, TN, and Loyd T. (Jewel) Clark of Granville, TN; and 1 Sister: Manda Clark Mathis of the Double Springs community of Putnam County, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
