Charles Fred Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Charles Fred Smith, 87, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 18, 2016, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, May 16, 2016, at Cumberland River Hospital in Celina, TN. He was born March 13, 1929, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Amos B. Smith and Katie Hix Smith. On July 19, 1949, he was married to the late Mary Mae Richardson Smith, who passed away June 12, 2000. He was a truck driver and factory worker, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Son-in-Law: Kenneth Bruce Stafford; and 1 Brother: Cecil F. Smith. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Kathy Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Brandon Stafford and Dana Stafford, both of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Lucille Phann and Shirley Ann Harper, both of Gainesboro, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
