Funeral services for Mr. Charles E. Collier, 64, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, November 16, 2015, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Collier Family Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015, at his residence. He was born August 10, 1951 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Donald C. Collier and Lura N. Huff Collier. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Jackson County Sheriff's Department and also served as Sheriff of Jackson County during his law enforcement career. He was a member of the Big Branch church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Jackie Lee Collier and Robert Taylor Collier; Paternal Grandparents: Buddy H. and Clara Burton Collier; and Maternal Grandparents: Harvey Haskell Huff and Vennie Frizzell Huff. Survivors include His Companion of 31 Years: Ann Burris of Gainesboro, TN; Her Children: Ricky Burris and Glenda Bartlett of Gainesboro, TN; Grandson: Lance Pirl and Ashley Denson of Gainesboro, TN; and other Grandchildren: Ricky Ryan Burris, Dustin Bartlett, and Mark Burris; 1 Brother: Bill (Nancy) Collier of Cookeville, TN; 1 Sister: Penny (Danny) Locke of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Nephews: Danny (Lindsay) Locke and Donnie (Paige) Locke; and 4 Nieces: Casie (Ron) Harris, Amy Collier, Taylor Collier, and Shawana Bartlett.
