Memorial services for Celia Kaye Smith, 62, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Sunday, April 23, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. The family has chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 1 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born March 13, 1955, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late James E. Smith and Carol Sadler Scheley. She was married to the late Steve Mathis. She was a nutrition aide for UCHRA, and a member of the Gordonsville Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jack L. Smith; and 1 Sister: Kathy Smith. Survivors include 1 Brother: Fred W. Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Nephews: Beau (Kara) Smith of Cookeville, TN, and Jamie Smith of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Nieces: Jacquie (Gary) Flynn of Gainesboro, TN, and Jessica (Robert III) Williams of Cookeville, TN. She was the greatest aunt in the universe to all her great nephews and great nieces. Other relatives and many friends also survive.
