Funeral services for Mr. Cecil R. Strong, 65, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Scott - Red Hill Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Strong passed away on Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at Riverview Regional Medical Center in Carthage, TN. He was born July 23, 1943, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Homer and Willard Coffee Strong. He was a Jackson County employee at the Fairview Solid Waste Collection Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Jimmy Strong. Survivors include his Special Friend: Juanita Dailey of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Sister and Brother-in-Law: Marie and Willie J. White of Monroe, TN; 1 Sister-in-Law: Deborah Strong of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Nieces: Lisa Ruffner, Tammy Wells, and Amy Wilson; 2 Nephews: Ricky J. White and Scottie D. Strong; 3 Great-Nieces: Meagan, Morgan, and Alexis; and 4 Great- Nephews: Samuel, Hunter, Dakota, and Nathan. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
