Funeral services for Mrs. Cecelia Schmidt Conn, 102, of Hilham, Tennessee, will be held at 4 P.M. on Monday, June 9, 2014, at the New Hope Community Church in Jackson County, TN. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday from 2 P.M. until time of services. She passed away on Friday, June 6, 2014, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born December 5, 1911, in Morristown, NJ, to the late William Schmidt and Louise Hermine Johanne Dieckman Schmidt. She was married to the late Richard Conn, who passed away in 1967. She was a homemaker, waitress, and domestic worker. She was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Donald R. Conn; 2 Daughters: Carolyn Conn and Bernice "Bonnie" Simpson; 1 Granddaughter: Cheryl Simpson; 5 Brothers; and 2 Sisters. Survivors include 1 Son and Daughter-in-Law: Robert W. and Deborah J. Conn of Hilham, TN; 1 Son-in-Law: Geoff Simpson of FL; 1 Daughter-in-Law: Ann Marie Conn of Greeneville, TN; 1 Sister: Gretchen Falco of NJ; 8 Grandchildren; several Great Grandchildren; Special Niece: Dottie Taylor of Lavallette, NJ; and Special Friend: Kitty Coughland of Boonton, NJ.
