Graveside services for Carrol Wanda Powell Carter, 82, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Saturday, December 12, 2020 at Smith County Memorial Gardens in Smith County, TN. There will be no visitation or services at the funeral home. She passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020, at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Bernie Powell and Viola Bushor Powell. She was married to Edward Earl Carter, who survives. She was an office worker, and was the Valedictorian of her high school class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Monroe, Fred, Bud, and Don Powell. Survivors include her Husband: Edward Earl Carter of Baxter, TN; 1 Brother: Paul Powell of Las Vegas, NV; 1 Sister In Law: Frances Kemp of Carthage, TN; Special Nephew: Craig (Cindy) Powell of Ortonville, MI; and Special Friends and Caregivers: Anthony and Phyllis Sparks of Baxter, TN. Bro. David Lipe will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund or Upper Cumberland Hospice by contacting the funeral home.
