Age 77

Carolyn Sue Gore was born June 19, 1947, in Lansing, Tennessee and she passed

away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at The Waters of Gainesboro at the age 77,

following an extended illness.

She was the daughter of Jones W. Stringfield and Mildred Lena Layman Stringfield.

She was a housewife and on September 20, 1977, she married Rad Gore, Jr. for a total

of 47 years of marriage. Sue bowled in several leagues in the Dayton, Ohio area; she

was a talented self-taught artist, an avid reader, loved music and crosswords, going to

casinos, weekly poker/card games with family/friends, movies, playing computer games,

chocolate milkshakes and sweet watermelon gum. She so loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Brian Curtis Coffee, and

stepdaughter, Melinda Gore; brothers, Robert W. Stringfield and Tommy Williams and

sister, Evelyn Judy Huffman; and nephews, Danny Stringfield, Robert A. Stringfield and

Will Williams.

Survivors include her husband, Rad Gore, Jr. of Gainesboro (formerly of Dayton, Ohio);

son, Barry (Jeanette) Gore of Cookeville; daughter, Teresa Gore Huffines of

Gainesboro; Michael Widmayer, and Randy Gore of Cookeville; sisters, Diane (Paul)

Buck and Kathy (Ray) Abrams of Dayton, OH; brother-in-law, James David Gore and

sister-in-law, Anna Lois Mercer of Gainesboro; grandchildren, Jeremy (Jetona) Gore

and Jennifer (Eric) Carver, Kristopher Gore, Bradley (Brittney) Crowder, Courtney

(Damien) Kay, Taylor (Jacob) Key and Whitney (Ryan) Lewis; great

grandchildren, Gavin (Lanie) Vincent, Collin Gore, Lilly Gore, Vallie Kate Carver and

Linley Reece Carver, Rozalynn and Beau Crowder; Everleigh and Olivia Kay; Ella, Ava,

and Jack Gore; Brady and Jaxson Key; great-great grandchild, Lylah Pearl Vincent, and

a host of other relatives and friends.

Her nieces and nephews, Angela (Brian Combs) Huffman; Tony Newcomb; Kevin R.

(Danielle) Buck, Mickey Fugate, Jason (Kasey) Berkshire and Daniel (Megan)

Berkshire, all of Dayton, Ohio.

Her great-nieces and nephews: Destiny Huffman and son, Colton; Travis Huffman

(Brittany) and son, Levi; and Logan Huffman; Kevin M. Buck, Lauren Buck and Aaron

Buck; Kylie, Jaylen and Brooklyn Berkshire; McKenzie and Dani Berkshire, all of

Dayton, Ohio.

Visitation will be on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 9 am to 2 pm at Anderson Upper

Cumberland Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 2 pm in the chapel of

Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Pastor Jeremy Gore officiating.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association by contacting the

funeral home.
