Carole McBroom

Funeral services for Carole McBroom, 76, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021, at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and on Thursday from 11 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, January 11, 2021, at Cookeville Regional Medial Center. She was born March 6, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Thomas Elmer Long and Ova Myrtle Hicks Long. On September 4, 1969, she was married to Charles McBroom, who survives. She was a retired Pre-K teachers assistant, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Tommy Lee Johnson. Survivors include her Husband: Charles McBroom of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Teresa Johnson (Tim) Dillehay of Cookeville, TN, and Kristi McBroom (Jamie) Ellis of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Brittany Carole Ellis (Clain) Trekell of Baxter, TN, Thomas Bryant Dillehay and William “Will” Fenton Dillehay, both of Cookeville, TN; and Favorite Pet: Willow. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Bro. Matthew Scoggins will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Susan G.
