Memorial services for Carol Y. May Murphy, 63, of Bloomington Springs, Tennessee, will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Sunday, December 8, 2013, at Shipley United Methodist Church on Shipley Church Road in Cookeville, TN. The family has chosen cremation. She passed away on Monday, December 2, 2013, at Cumberland House in Crossville, TN. She was born November 17, 1950, in Key West, FL, to the late Lewis Bays and Mondaine Brannan. On July 20, 2005, she was married to the late Richard Murphy. She was a caregiver, a member of Shipley U.M.C., and past member of Curry's Chapel U.M.C. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her Step-Mother: Dorothy Bays; her Step-Father: Hurbert Brannan; and Sister: Sharon Gale Dubrish. Survivors include 1 Step-Son: Steve Murphy of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Sherry L. Sloan of San Antonio, TX; 1 Brother: Floyd Bays of Baxter, TN; 1 Sister: Nancy Swenson of Cookeville, TN; 2 Grandchildren; and Special Friend: Christy Micham of Cumming, GA. Rev.
