B.W. Tom" Thomas

Funeral services for B.W. "Berry Tom" Thomas, 80, of the Seven Knobs community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Thursday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Monday, April 30, 2012, at his residence. He was born September 27, 1931, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Benton Thomas and Dora Thomas. On October 8, 1949 in Angolan, IN, he was married to A.V. Thomas, who survives. He was a supervisor at the county recycling center, and affiliated with the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Sons: Larry Thomas and Garry Thomas; 2 Grandsons: Garry Thomas, Jr. and Stevie Allen; 1 Brother: Jack Thomas; 1 Sister: Mable Vantasel; and his Father in Law and Mother in Law: Troy B. Hensley and Maggie Hensley. Survivors include his Wife: A.V. Thomas of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Debbie (Elmer) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: Jerry (Tonya) Thomas, Missy Thomas, and Shawn (Julie) Thomas; 2 Great-Grandchildren: Bobby Dale Thomas and Emma Thomas; 6 Step Great Grandchildren: Lisa Pryor, Latoya Pryor, Thomas Pryor, Kaitlyn Young, Kaleb Young, and Kristen Young; and a host of nieces, nephews, brother in laws, and sister in laws. Bro. John Mabery and Bro. John Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the John Young Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
