Funeral services for Mr. Bruce Hawkins, 69, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Friday, July 28, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 8 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born March 26, 1948, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Hawkins and Sue Hawkins. On December 24, 1982, he was married to Linda Hawkins, who survives. He retired from the Jackson County Ambulance Service in 2008, where he served for 36 years. He also served as the director for many years. He served as a Jackson County commissioner for 12 years, and was affiliated with the Burristown Assembly of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Lisa Hawkins. Survivors include his Wife: Linda Hawkins of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Cameron Hawkins of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Daughters: Nicki (J.B.) Stone of Whitleyville, TN, Shalane (Jeremiah) Ragsdale of Gainesboro, TN, Angie (Gary) Richardson of Gainesboro, TN, and Regina (Darryl) Johnson of Livingston, TN; 6 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister: Linda (Darrel) Holloway of Monterey, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to the Lynn Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
