Brinie Stafford Hammock

Funeral services for Mrs. Brinie Jewel Stafford Hammock, 84, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Thursday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro, TN. She was born December 31, 1925, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Henderson and Lucindy Haney Stafford. She was married to the late Sam Hammock. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Free State Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Bobby Earl Hammock; 4 Brothers: Clifford, Fred, James H., and Roger Stafford; and 3 Sisters: Nannie Bell Mayberry, Mattie May Stafford, and Onia Hix. Survivors include 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Barbara and Eddie Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Chad (Jennifer) Scott, and Jennifer (Robert) Smith, all of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Great-Grandchildren: Shawn Michael Smith, Autumn Olivia Scott, and John Samuel Reed Scott; 2 Brothers: Eugene (Margaret) Stafford, and Ray (Bunie) Stafford, all of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister-in-Law: Pervis Hammock of Bloomington Springs, TN.
