Braxton Collier

Funeral services for Mr. Braxton (Brack) Collier, age 74, a resident of Granville, TN, will be held Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at 11 A.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Collier Family Cemetery in Granville. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., Tuesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M until the time of services. Mr. Collier passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Kindred Hospital in Nashville, TN. He was born June 2, 1933, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late B.H. Collier and Clara Burton Collier. He was a farmer and former employee of the Jackson County Highway Department. He was a member of the Big Branch Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Ralph, Garland and Donald Collier; 1 Sister: Lena Mae Collier; and 2 Sisters-in-law: Mary Jane Collier and Betty Jean Collier. Survivors include 3 Brothers and 4 Sisters-in-law: Doug & Thelma Collier of Bloomington Springs, TN; Bobbie Collier, and Billie & Linda Collier all of Baxter, TN; Lura Collier of Gainesboro, TN; and Louise Collier of Red Boiling Springs, TN; and 1 Sister and Brother-in-law: Molena & Bob Roberts of Eatonton, GA. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
