Funeral services for Brad Whitaker, 43, of Corpus Christi, TX, and formerly of Gainesboro, TN will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 3 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 12 Noon until time of services. He passed away on Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in Corpus Christi, TX. He was born October 11, 1970, in Jackson County, TN, to Beverly Meadows Shrum and the late Jerry Brown Whitaker. He was an oil rig refinery foreman. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Paternal Grandparents: Paul and Aline Shoemake Whitaker. Survivors include 1 Son: Wesley Whitaker Mayberry of Houston, TX; his Mother: Beverly (Michael) Shrum of Hermitage, TN; and Maternal Grandparents: Paul and Virginia Meadows of Gainesboro, TN.
