Boon Hunter

Funeral services for Mr. Boon Hunter, 82, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 2 P.M. on Monday, January 9, 2017, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Burris Cemetery in the Cummins Mill community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Friday, January 6, 2017, at his residence. He was born May 22, 1934, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Dud Hunter and Violet Hunter. He was married to Gladys Hunter, who survives. He was a logger and farmer, and was a member of the Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Mary E. Hunter; 2 Sons: Robert Lee Hunter and James Hunter; 3 Daughters: Wanda Joyce Finnell, Rita Faye Ledbetter, and Mary Sue Hunter; and 1 Great Grandchild. Survivors include his Wife: Gladys Hunter of Cookeville, TN; 2 Sons: Tommy (Trish) Hunter and Larry (Lisa) Hunter, all of Cookeville, TN; 10 Grandchildren; and 12 Great Grandchildren. Bro.
