Bonnie Jean Head

Funeral services for Mrs. Bonnie Jean Head, 83, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 12 noon on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 4 -8 P.M. and on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of the service. She passed away on Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born June 11, 1935, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Roscoe Sherman Smallwood and Zander Jones Smallwood. On January 3, 1956, she was married to Edis Head, who survives. She was retired from the business office of the Jackson County Hospital and was a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Paul Meadows, Roscoe "Bug" Smallwood Jr., and Tommy Smallwood and 3 Sisters: Louise Jones, Martha Belle Dixon, and Rose Nell Jones Strait. Survivors include her Husband: Edis Head of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Delma (Edwin) Hopkins of Gainesboro, TN and Cathy Flatt of Cookeville, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Jason Flatt, Lyndsey Flatt, Ryan Hopkins, and Chanse (Kaylia) Hopkins; and 1 Great Grandchildren: Kambree Hopkins Bro.
