Bobbye Ragland Williams

Bobbye Ann Ragland Williams passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013 after a long illness. She was preceded in death by parents: Sidney A. Ragland and Sarah Ann Kirby Ragland, Brothers: Bedford, Vernon, Savage, Verble, Lester, Cordell, and Guy Ragland; and Sisters: Bessie Brown, Ethel Brown, and Daris Apple. Survived by daughters: Samantha Williams of Nashville, Tennessee and Suzanne Williams (Frank Fly) of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; her kitty-cat: Libby; brother: Thurman (Jenny) Ragland of Sterling Heights, Michigan; and sisters: Nell (Arlin) Barton of Russellville, Kentucky and Elise Huff of Sparta, Tennessee. Bobbye was born in Jackson County, Tennessee on September 8, 1934, the youngest of 14 siblings. She moved to Nashville after graduating from Jackson County High School in 1953. She married Glenn Williams on February 22, 1962. Bobbye is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Bobbye was a lifelong member of Curry's Chapel United Methodist Church where she spent many Sundays playing the piano and organ. Services will be held at Curry's Chapel United Methodist Church on Saturday, April 27, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Jackie Wheeler officiating. Visitation will be from 10 A.M. until time of services at the church. Burial will immediately follow the service at Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
