Bobby James Ellis

Bobby James Ellis was born October 14, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, and he passed away at Sumner Regional Medical Center on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the age of 80. He was the son of the late Langford Charlie Ellis and Mamie Beatrice Bowman. On August 7, 1968, he was married to Allie June Zachary Ellis, who survives. He was an attorney at law for over 40 years, and served in the U.S. Army. He was a songwriter and story teller, and a member of the Lions Club, Rotary Club, Tannehill Lodge #133, Jackson County Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Hendersonville Church of Christ, and former member of the Dudneys Hill Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Brother: Charles Ellis; and Nephew: Larry Ellis. Survivors include his Wife: Allie June Ellis of Gallatin, TN; Daughter: Misty (Troy) Bischoff of Gallatin, TN; Granddaughter: Corin Bischoff of Gallatin, TN; Niece: Teresa (Warren) Tardy of Brentwood, TN; and Great Niece: Elizabeth Oakley of Brentwood, TN. Other relatives and many friends also survive. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2 P.M. at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home, with Bro. Sam Mainord and Bro. Lakelan Barham officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Pharris Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. Memorial donations may be made to the Pharris Cemetery or the Heart Association by contacting the funeral home.
