Bobby J. Haney

Funeral services for Mr. Bobby J. Haney, 65, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 12 Noon on Wednesday, October 12, 2011, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1946, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Johnny Whad "Chead" Haney and Elizabeth Jane "Janie" Chaffin Haney. On October 14, 1967, he was married to Sandy Haney, who survives. He was an electrician at Fleetguard. He was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ, where he served as a deacon. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Gene Haney and Hulon "Pooch" Haney; 1 Sister: Louise Vickers; and a Special Nephew: Dale Haney. Survivors include his Wife: Sandy Haney of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Brian (Allison) Haney of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Theresa (Chris) Fox of Bloomington Springs, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Mason Haney, Kassi Haney, Cooper Haney, Caden Fox, and Janie Fox; 2 Brothers: William Glen (Lorene) Haney and David Haney, all of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Sisters: Doylene Rodgers of New Mexico, A.V. (Brack) Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Ida (Colonel) Wheeler of Cookeville, TN. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
