Bobby Hollis Mitchell

Funeral services for Bobby Hollis Mitchell, 83, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, March 11, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Byers Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2020, at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was born November 27, 1936, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Harlan Mitchell and Avie Mitchell. He was married to the late Hazel Farley Mitchell. He was a factory worker, and a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Sisters: Helen Miller, Katherine Stewart, Hattie Carlile, and Judy Mitchell. Survivors include 2 Brothers: Charles Mitchell and Billy Mitchell, both of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Sisters: Toyetta Hensley of Bloomington Springs, TN, and Sally Foster of Smyrna, TN; Grandchildren: Derek and Devin Carter; numerous Great Grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
