Bobby Allen was born on June 27, 1937, in Gainesboro, TN and passed away at Signature Healthcare of Putnam County on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 88.
Bobby was the son of John William Allen and Dottie Mae Carter Chaffin. He was a farmer and logger for many years.
He was preceded in death by his: parents, wife: Wava Martin Allen; three sisters: Betty Flatt, Violet Martin, and Janice Mitchell; two brothers: Kenneth Allen and Billy Gene Allen; son: Ross Allen; daughter in law: Diane Allen.
Bobby is survived by his: sons: Steve (Anita) Allen of Dodson Branch, TN and Dwayne Allen of Dodson Branch, TN; daughter: Tina (Bruce Smallwood) Maynard of Gainesboro, TN; brothers: Larson (Velma) Allen of Rickman, TN and Toy (Linda) Allen of Gainesboro, TN; brother in law: Don Mitchell of TN; grandchildren: Eric (Kecia) Bartholomew of Gainesboro, TN, Steve (Kendra) Allen of Baxter, TN, Jonathan (Allison) Allen of Dodson Branch, TN, Blake (Stephanie) Allen of Gainesboro, TN, Kaleb Allen of Dodson Branch, TN, Nicholas (Holli) Maynard of Gainesboro, TN, Jeremy Jackson of Bloomington Springs, TN, Jordan (Tori) Allen of Hilton Head, SC, Tori Jackson of Dodson Branch, TN, Austin (Kellie) Cantrell of Rickman, TN; great grandchildren: Ashton Allen of TN, Lily Bartholomew of TN, Luke Bartholomew of TN, Kaylee Allen of TN, Noah Allen of TN, Ronin Allen of TN, Jaylee Cantrell of TN, Jett Cantrell of TN, Landon Middleton of TN. Several other relatives and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 10:00 AM until 2 PM in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Lakelan Barham and Kaleb Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Pharris Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Pharris Cemetery by contacting the business office of the funeral home.
