Funeral services for Mr. Bobby Dale Hunter, 76, of Whitleyville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1 P.M. - 9 P.M. with a Masonic service at 8 P.M., and on Sunday from 11 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at his residence in Whitleyville, TN. He was born March 31, 1937 in Jackson County, TN, to the late Aaron C. and Tennie Lorene Norton Hunter. He was the former owner of H & H Lumber Company in Gainesboro. He was a member of A Shriner's International and a member of Tannehill Lodge #133. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Patricia Hunter Chaffin; 1 Son: Timothy Dale Hunter; and the mother of his children: Carl Cassetty Hunter. Survivors include 1 Son: Tony Hunter of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Daughter: Teresa (Ray) Dennis of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son-in- Law: Zollie Richard Chaffin of Gainesboro, TN; 4 Grandchildren: Brandon Dale (Kristy) Chaffin, Madyson Burgess of Atlanta, GA, Kayla Deanne Chaffin, and Jordan Hunter; 2 Sisters: Faye (Roy) Ragland and Ann (Al) Wright. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Bro. Thurman Bennett and Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Mike Thompson, Chad York, Steve Johnson, Wayne Strong, Hugh Martin, Wes Cassetty, Ronny West, and D.S. Shepard will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Wayne Mahaney, Gilbert Berry, Ray Dennis, and Zollie Richard Chaffin.
