Bob Johnson

Bobby Lee Johnson, Sr. was born December 28, 1947 in Detroit, MI and he passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at his residence in Gainesboro at the age of 76.

Bob was born to Aaron P. Johnson and Irene Edna Vickers Meadows.  He worked for many years at Fleetguard/Cummins factory in Cookeville.  He was married to Wanda Faye Wilson on June 21, 1966 for a total of 58 years of marriage.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Jim Johnson and sister in law, Wilma Johnson.

Survivors include wife, Wanda Faye Johnson; son, Bobby Johnson, Jr. of Gainesboro; daughters, Darlene (David) Ward and Tonya (Jerry) Thomas both of Gainesboro; best friend, Harvey (Cotton) Dyer; grandchildren, Lisa Pryor, LaToya (Blake) Sadler, Thomas (Hannah) Pryor, Brandon Ward and  Bobby (Sydney) Thomas; great grandchildren, Audrina, Aleigha, Bryan, Paisleigh and Wilson

Visitation will be on Saturday, August 17, 2024 from 12 noon until 2 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home.  Memorial services will be on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 2 pm in the chapel of Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Ray Wilson officiating.
