Funeral services for Mr. Billy Scott, 67, of the New Hope community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 3 P.M. on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Scott Family Cemetery in the Fairview community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Saturday, February 4, 2012, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born May 1, 1944, in Jackson County, TN, to the late John Scott and Rose Carmack Scott. On February 15, 1967, he was married to Glenda Faye Scott, who survives. He was a deputy sheriff and logger, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Charles Carmack and Edward Scott. Survivors include his Wife: Glenda Faye Scott of Hilham, TN; 3 Sons: Billy Wayne (Danielle) Scott of OH, Stephen Scott of Hilham, TN, and Philip Bradley Scott of Gainesboro, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Stephanie (Matthew) Hix, Travis Scott, Jamie Scott, Dustin Scott, Christian Scott, Noah Scott, and Bryttne Scott; 3 Brothers: Elmer Scott of Mt. Juliet, TN, George (Donna) Scott of Smyrna, TN, and John (Pam) Scott of Murfreesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Drotha William of Gordonsville, TN, and Thelma (Ken) Rogers of Hilham, TN. Bro.
