Billy "Rastus" Stafford

Mr. Billy E. "Rastus" Stafford, 72, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2010, at his residence. A private family service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until 9 P.M. He was born August 12, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charlie Stafford and Rose Stafford. On December 24, 1966, he was married to the late Bonnie Hunter Stafford, who passed away on February 12, 2005. He was a custodian for the City of Gainesboro, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Ray L. Stafford; and 1 Nephew: Jeffery Neal "Jelly" Stafford. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Donna D. Smith of Gainesboro, TN, and Kimberly R. Stafford of Greensboro, NC; 8 Grandchildren: Shannon Dulworth, Derrick Dulworth, Kayla Dulworth, Brittany Davis, Kristen Davis, Kimberly Kroenert, Danielle Smith, and Katrell Jefferson; 1 Great-Grandchild: Carmon Rose Buck; 1 Brother: Luke Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Ruth Sue Byers of Algood, TN, and Sarah Herren of Silver Point, TN.
