Funeral services for Billy Odell Scantland, 62, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Saturday, September 6, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Lynn Cemetery in the Burristown community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 A.M. - 9 P.M., and Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at his residence. He was born April 18, 1952, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Elmer Scantland and Margie Hamlet Scantland. He was a tree trimmer, and a member of the Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Elana; 2 Brothers: James Dawson Scantland and Darwin Wayne Scantland; 2 Sisters: Dorothy Webb and Martha Brooks; 1 Nephew; and 1 Niece. Survivors include his Wife: Betty Richardson of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Michael Scantland of Ohio, and Joshua Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Tosha Scantland of Kentucky, Shelly Scantland of Livingston, TN, and Kelly Touchstone of Friendsville, TN; 7 Grandchildren; and 3 Brothers: Dale (Virginia) Scantland and Richard (Wanda) Scantland, all of Gainesboro, TN, and Jackie (Rosie) Scantland of Cookeville, TN.
