Billy Howard Scantland

Graveside services for Mr. Billy Howard Scantland, 56, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Sunday, May 12, 2013, at Allen's Chapel Cemetery in Hilham, TN. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Sunday from 1 P.M. until time to leave for the graveside service. He passed away on Friday, May 10, 2013, at his residence. He was born January 1, 1957, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Elbert C. Scantland and Idell Barlow Scantland. On November 23, 1977, he was married to Debra Scantland, who survives. He worked in logging, and was a member of the Poston's Chapel Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Terry Scantland. Survivors include his Wife: Debra Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Shaun Scantland and fianc, Evan Mabry of Cookeville, TN; 1 Brother: Bobby (Brenda) Scantland of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Janice (Robert) Chaffin of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Bro. James Eidson will officiate at the services.
