Funeral services for Mr. Billy Hershel Hunter, 72, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018, at his residence. He was born January 10, 1946, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Hershel Hunter and Jewel Hunter. On December 30, 1966, he was married to Sammie Hunter, who survives. He was a furniture factory worker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Granddaughter: Brittany Nicole Wiggins; 1 Great Grandchild: Madison Hunter; 6 Brothers: Andrew, Bobby, Steve, Charles, and James Hunter, and Billy Joe Stafford; and 4 Sisters: Lucille Stafford, Minnie Rush, Bonnie Stafford, and Linda Stafford. Survivors include his Wife: Sammie Hunter of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Daughters: Samantha Haney of Cookeville, TN, Tammy Wiggins of Gainesboro, TN, and Amanda Boles of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Hershel Hunter, Linda Smith, Tamara Stafford, Caleb Blackburn, Dakota Allen, and Kyra Shepard; Special Great Grandchild: Daneisha Highland, and several other great grandchildren.
