Billy "Duck" Stafford

Funeral services for Mr. Billy E. "Duck" Stafford, 66, of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, November 21, 2008, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Young Cemetery in the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Friday from 8 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Stafford passed away on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. He was born December 12, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Charles R. and Olga M. Warren Stafford. On December 1, 1960, he was married to Jerline Stafford, his wife of 48 years, who survives. He was a truck driver, who drove millions of miles without an accident. He was a member of the Center Grove Church of Christ, and a former Jackson County deputy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Grandchild: Steven Dewayne Stafford; and 1 Son-in-Law: Jedediah Deming. Survivors include His wife: Jerline Stafford of the Center Grove community of Jackson County, TN; 2 Sons: Jimmy E. and Sharon Stafford of Dayton, Ohio, and Stevie D. and Tonya Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Deb Deming of Cookeville, TN, and Kathy and Corky Trisdale of Baxter, TN; 12 Grandchildren: Jimmy, Jr., Brandon, Tamara, Candice, and Casey Stafford; Kelly (Tiffany) and Jayra Deming; Samantha (Cody) Clark; Crystal (Blake) Maberry; Tyler Trisdale; Mikala Tingley; and David Muncy; 9 Great-Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Lee Stafford of Bloomington Springs, TN; and 1 Sister: Linda (Billy) Baker of Gainesboro, TN. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Happy Haven Home for Children by contacting the funeral home. Bro. John Mabery will officiate at the services.
