Private graveside services for Mr. Billy B. Scantland, 77, of Gainesboro, TN, were held on Saturday, March 19, 2016, at the Peek Cemetery in the Harmony community of Jackson County, TN. He passed away on Friday, March 18, 2016, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. He was born September 1, 1938, in Jackson County, TN, to the late George Scantland and Maggie Waddell Scantland. He worked in lawn care, and was affiliated with the Church of Christ. He served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Jimmy, Johnny, Edd, and Charles Scantland; and 2 Sisters: Frances Trisdale and Mattie Scantland. Survivors include 1 Brother: Bobby Scantland of Warren, MI; and 1 Sister: Mae Phillips of Gainesboro, TN. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. Bro.
