Funeral services for Mrs. Billie W. Spivey, 91, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 10 A.M. on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Rob Draper Memorial Cemetery in the Stone community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 P.M. - 8 P.M., and again on Saturday from 9 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2020, at her residence. She was born September 12, 1928, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Herman Amos Williford and Lillie Mary Jane Dodson Williford. She was married to the late Ben J. Spivey, who passed away February 2, 2004. She was an accountant at General Telephone Co., a master quilter, and enjoyed cooking. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Sisters: Naoma Williford and Melissa Williford; 1 Brother: Ralph Williford; and 1 Nephew: Danny Williford. Survivors include 1 Son: Steven B. (Georgia) Spivey of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna (Larry) Lindstrom of Cookeville, TN; 8 Grandchildren; 20 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Great Great Grandchild. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital by contacting the funeral home.
