Billie "Bill" Bowman

Memorial services for Mr. Billie "Bill" Bowman, 71, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 12 Noon on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. He wished to be cremated, and his family has followed his wishes. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Signature Health Care Center in Algood, TN. He was born October 2, 1946, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Ralph Bowman and Jo Helen Roberts Bowman Stewart. On May 7, 1965, he was married to Dianne Bowman, who survives. He worked as a Frontier telephone supplyman, and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He was a past president of IBEW, and a member of the Cookeville Masonic Lodge. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Sister: Betty Vanhooser. Survivors include his Wife: Dianne Bowman of Cookeville, TN; 1 Son: Billy (Alicia) Bowman of Cookeville, TN; 1 Daughter: Donna (Tommy) Bowman-Phy of Cookeville, TN; 5 Grandchildren: Lacie Rice, Jonathan (Tiffany) Rice, Logan Bowman, Sydney Bowman, and Dalton Phy; and 1 Brother in Law: Joe Frank Vanhooser of Biloxi, MS. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or the Shriners Hospitals for Children by contacting the funeral home.
