Funeral services for Mr. Bill Kirby, 77, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, August 15, 2012, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Fox Chaffin Cemetery in the 7 Knobs community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P. M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. He passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at his residence. He was born February 11, 1935, in Smith County, TN, to the late Frank and Mallie Kirby. On October 19, 1954, he was married to Valmon Kirby, who survives. He was a factory worker and farmer, and a member of Lakeview Church of Christ. He served in the United States Marine Corps. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 10 Brothers and Sisters; and 1 Granddaughter: Nicole Lee Mabery. Survivors include his Wife: Valmon Kirby of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Lanny (Kay) Kirby of Gainesboro, TN, and Kenny Kirby of Cookeville, TN; 4 Daughters: Debbie Moss of Gainesboro, TN, Donna (Dewey) Mabery of Gainesboro, TN, Sherry (Keith) Thurman of Cookeville, TN, and Renee (Donnie) Martin of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: LaDonna Burris, Jamie (Holly) Moss, Jeremy Moss and fiance Vanessa Hammock, Heath Kirby, Torrey Kirby, Nathan Mabrey, Dylan Thurman, and Ethan Kirby; and 1 Great-Grandson: Andrew Moss.
