Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Philpot Smith, 83, of Granville, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, June 27, 2011 at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Granville Cemetery in the Granville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4 P.M. - 7 P. M., and on Monday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Friday, June 24, 2011, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born August 20, 1927, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Robert Lee Philpot and Jossie Meadows Philpot. On December 26, 1946, she was married to the late Fred B. Smith, who passed away January 22, 2004. She was a supper club manager and homemaker. She was a member of the Liberty Church of Christ in Granville, TN. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Ronald Lee Smith; 1 Grandchild: Kimberly Lane; and 2 Brothers: Euloins Philpot and Eldridge Philpot. Survivors include 1 Son: Donald W. Smith of Granville, TN; 2 Daughters: Veronica Sue Lane of San Antonio, TX, and Phyllis A. Bennett of Las Vegas, NV; 1 Brother: Roy Philpot of Gainesboro, TN; and 1 Sister: Faye Reinhardt of Miamisburg, OH. 7 Grandchildren and 10 Great Grandchildren also survive. Bro.
