Beulah Lawson Dudney

Beulah Mae Lawson Dudney, age 96, of Madison, and formerly of Gainesboro in Jackson County, TN, passed away on Thursday September 27, 2012 at 5:20 A.M. at Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation in Madison. She was born on July 6, 1916 in Jackson County to the late Jim K. and Verdie Castell Lawson. She married James T. Dudney on December 23, 1939, who preceded her in death of 63 years on March 5, 2003. She was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Elmer, Charlie, Bill, and Luther Lawson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James S. Sr. (Jimmy) and Mary Dudney of Madison, Grandson and Granddaughter-in-law James Sidney Jr. (Jim) and Kari Dudney, Great Granddaughter Ryan Sidney Dudney of Nashville, several nieces and one nephew. She was a longtime member of the Free State Church of Christ in Jackson County. She was a sales clerk at Anderson Dept. Store, Montgomery Electric and Hardware Co., and Dudney's IGA Grocery. Her passions in life was her vegetable garden and cooking for relatives and friends. Her family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. E.M. and Janie Dudney and Judy and Tim Chambers for the care they gave to her through the years, to the entire staff of Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation of Madison for their care for the past 2 years, and to Odyssey Hospice for their care for the past week. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, September 30, 2012 at 3 P.M. at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Buck Dozier and Bro. Edward Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in the John L. Clark Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday September 29, 2012 from 3 til 8 P.M. and Sunday 2 hours prior to service.
