Funeral services for Mrs. Betty V. Stafford, 88, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Monday, July 5, 2010, at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Thursday, July 1, 2010, at her residence. She was born April 17, 1922, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Haywood and Nannie Jones Stafford. She was married to the late Donald Stafford, who passed away June 27, 1989. She was a homemaker, and a member of the Gainesboro First Baptist Church. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Son: Johnny Stafford; 2 Sisters: Estelle Haney and Willie Jo Richardson; 1 Grandchild: Melissa Gail Stafford; and 2 Brothers: Grover Cleveland Stafford and Sam Stafford. Survivors include 1 Son: Jimmy Clay Stafford of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Daughters: Helen Sue (Billy B.) Stafford of Gainesboro, TN, and Lillian Lowe of Gainesboro, TN; 6 Grandchildren: Billy W. Stafford, Jimmy Stafford, Johnny Stafford, Roger Stafford, Connie Hadynski, and Debbie Blankenship; and several Great Grandchildren. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services.
