Betty Meadows Brown

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Meadows Brown, 66, of Cookeville, Tennessee, will be held at 2 P.M. on Tuesday, July 1, 2008, at the Shiloh Church of Christ in the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN. Burial will follow in the John Young Cemetery in the Shiloh community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Tuesday at the Shiloh Church of Christ from 10 A.M until time of services. Mrs. Brown passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2008, at St. Thomas Hospital in Nashville, TN. She was born June 6, 1942, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Dent and Dee Hammock Meadows. She was a homemaker and a member of the Shiloh Church of Christ. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 3 Brothers: Ridley Mitchell, James, and Wilice Meadows; and 1 Sister: Notie Stafford. Survivors include 3 Sons and 1 Daughter-in-law: Tom and Beth Brown, Sam Brown, and Jason Brown, all of Cookeville, TN; 1 Grandchild: Caleb Brown; 3 Brothers and 2 Sisters-in-law: Charles Meadows of Baxter, TN; Junior and Irene Meadows, and Tommy and Wanda Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN; and 4 Sisters and 1 Brother-in- law: Dora Lou Pippin of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, Evelyn Haney of Gainesboro, TN, Ruby and Joe Manier of Cookeville, TN, and Frances Meadows of Bloomington Springs, TN. Other relatives and friends also survive. Bro. Doyle Wilmoth will officiate at the services.
