Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Joyce Roberts, 66, of Cookeville, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Wednesday, May 23, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2 P.M. - 9 P.M., and on Wednesday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mrs. Roberts passed away on Sunday, May 20, 2007, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN. She was born March 11, 1941, in Jackson County, TN, to the late Grady and Vela Gentry Smith. She was married to the late Bobby F. Roberts, who passed away February 12, 2005. She was a former employee of Leo's Market in Cookeville, and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Doyle and Clifton B. Smith. Survivors include 1 Brother: Eugene Smith of Rickman, TN; and 3 Sisters: Elease Jenkins of Cookeville, TN, Evelyn Poston and Odessa Boles, both of the New Hope community of Jackson County, TN.
