Betty Jo Bowman

Betty Jo Bilbrey Bowman was born March 13, 1942 in Jackson County and she passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2022 at Mabry Healthcare and Rehab in Gainesboro at the age of 80. Mrs. Bowman was the daughter of Dewey Bilbrey and Inez Sink Bilbrey. She was a member of the Davidson Chapel Church of Christ and was a housewife. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bobby Bowman who died Dec. 16, 2021, brothers, Ed Bilbrey, Johnny Bilbrey and Richard Bilbrey, Sisters, Wanda Bilbrey and Justine Wise, Survivors include her; son, Tyrone (Toni) Bowman of Gainesboro; daughter, Tammy (Doug) Dycus of Gainesboro; brother, Doug Bilbrey, Hershal Bilbrey, George Bilbrey and Calvin Bilbrey all of Rickman; grandchildren, Candice Herren, Dustin Dycus, Drew Dycus, Uriah Bowman, Zachary Bowman, Mallory Bowman, Garret Bowman; 6 great grandchildren. Visitation will be on Sunday March 20, 2022 from 4-8 pm at Anderson Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11 am at the Bowman Family Cemetery located at 521 Talley Hollow Lane in Gainesboro. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Pharris Cemetery by contacting the funeral home.
