Betty Jean Hopkins

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Jean Hopkins, 85, of Baxter, TN, will be held at 3 P.M. on Monday, March 23, 2020, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Brown and Hopkins Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 P.M. - 6 P.M., and Monday from 12 Noon until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, 3/21/2020, at her residence. She was born October 5, 1934, in Jackson County, TN. On January 18, 1953, she was married to the late Marion Hopkins, who passed away June 12, 2019. She was a factory worker. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her Father: James T. Welch; and 2 Brothers: George Franklin Welch and James Oliver Welch. Survivors include 2 Sons: Robert (Pat) Hopkins of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN, and Larry (Helen) Hopkins of Baxter, TN; 2 Daughters: Jo Ann (Danny) Garrison and Gail (Gerald) Meadows, all of the Shiloh community of Jackson County, TN; 7 Grandchildren: Susan Ragland, Angie (Alan) Byers, Daniel (Christie) Garrison, Larry Hopkins, Jr., April (Starbuck) Hunt, Tiffany Burgess, and Nicki (Paul) Dailey; 18 Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Mattie Clay Spurlock of Texas; and Special Niece and Caregiver: Alesia Bybee of Gainesboro, TN.
