Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Cobb Flatt, 91, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Granville Cemetery in Granville, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2019, at her residence. She was born November 10, 1927, in Glennville, GA, to the late Omer Cobb and Inez Cobb. She was married to the late Mitchell Franklin Flatt, who passed away May 13, 1989. She was a retired factory worker, and a member of the Carthage Church of God. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Daughter and Son in Law: Pamela and Larry Montgomery; 2 Sisters: Ouida Flowers and Beatrice Anderson; 3 Brothers: Donald, Carroll, and Howell Cobb; and 1 Great Grandson: Thomas Elliot Hibbs. Survivors include 2 Daughters: Sandra (Buddy) Stout of Fayetteville, TN, and Frankie (Jerry) Wilson of Gainesboro, TN; 8 Grandchildren: Scotty Stout, Mark (Allison) Stout, Bradley (Ashley) Stout, David (Kim) Montgomery, Jane Montgomery, Emily (Chris) Hibbs, Sandy Jo (Steven) Collier, and Russell Wilson; 12 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters: Catherine (Joe) Spivey and Janell (Marshall) Kennedy, both of GA; and 2 Sisters in Law: Judy Cobb and Marie Hershburger. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. David Montgomery and Mark Stout will officiate at the services.
