Betty Brown Pruett

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty Lou Brown Pruett, 63, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the New Salem Cemetery in the New Salem community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 P.M. - 8 P.M., and Tuesday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014, in Jackson County, TN. She was born February 26, 1951, in Jackson County, TN, to the late P.J. Brown and Maggie Lou Meadows Brown. On August 4, 1972, she was married to the late Tommy Pruett. She was the federal programs director for Jackson County Schools, and a member of the McCoinsville Church of Christ. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Ray Brown. Survivors include her Daughter: Dawn Pruett and husband, Kris Ray of Nashville, TN; 2 Grandchildren: Sophie and Valen Pruett-Ray; and 3 Nieces: Melissa Brown, Angie Brown, and Jessie Pruett Rucker. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the New Salem Cemetery Fund by contacting the funeral home.
