Funeral services for Mrs. Bessie E. Smith 86, of Dayton, Ohio will be held at 1 P.M. on Friday, January 15, 2016, at George C. Martin Funeral Home in Dayton, Ohio. Burial will follow in the Willowview Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Anderson-Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN and on Friday from 12 Noon until time of services at George C. Martin Funeral Home in Dayton, Ohio. She passed away on Monday, January 11, 2016, at the Upper Cumberland Hospice and Palliative Care. She was born March 26, 1929 in Winchester, KY, to the late Willie and Lucille Hatton. She was a homemaker and she loved to fish. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by Her Husband: Ralph Smith; 3 Sons: William, Vincent, and Bobby Conger; 1 Daughter: Faye Rose; 11 Brothers and Sisters; 1 Daughter-in-law: Judy Conger; and 2 Grandsons: Steven and Pete Conger. Survivors include her Beloved Friend: Jack Smith of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sons: Eddie (Wanda) Conger of Knoxville, TN and Steven (Mary) Conger of Dayton, Ohio; 1 Daughter: Mary Ann Denney of Gainesboro, TN; 17 Grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
