Bennett Reed

Mr. Bennett "Benny" Reed, 78, of Gainesboro, TN, and formerly of Detroit, MI, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Mabry Health Care Center in Gainesboro. The family has chosen cremation, with no visitation or services at this time. He was born October 2, 1933, in Detroit, MI, to the late William Reed and Rena Bennett Reed. On June 8, 1959, he was married to Reba (Elaine) Reed, who survives. He was a mechanic, and retired from Pepsi Cola of Detroit, MI, after serving for 47 years. He had numerous friends there. Mr. Reed also served in the U.S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 1 Daughter: Angela M. Reed Cassetty; and 2 Brothers. Survivors include his Wife: Reba (Elaine) Reed of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Kevin Reed of St. Clair Shores, MI; 1 Son-in-Law: John Cassetty of Gainesboro, TN; and 3 Grandchildren: Emma and Evin of St. Clair Shores, MI, and Ian of Gainesboro, TN.
