Barney P. Burgess

Funeral services for Mr. Barney P. Burgess, 74, of the Nameless Community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, October 26, 2009, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Burial will follow in the Currys Chapel Cemetery on Shepardsville Highway in Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12 Noon until 9 P.M. and Monday from 9 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Burgess passed away on Friday, October 23, 2009, at his residence. He was born August 25, 1935, in Jackson County, TN, to Gladys Burgess and the late Bernice E. Burgess. He worked for the animal control office in Berkley, MI. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Berkley, MI, and of the Sonlight Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his Wife: Carol Flesch Burgess; and 1 Brother: Blair Davis Burgess, Sr. Survivors include his Caregiver and Special Friend: Lee Hajdasz of Bloomington Springs, TN; 2 Sons: Dale Burgess of Washington and James Burgess of North Huntingdon, PA; 2 Daughters: Lynn Youngstead of Adamsburg, PA and Rosemary Sedlmeyer of Sterling Heights, MI; his Mother: Gladys Burgess of the Nameless Community of Jackson County; and 2 Sisters: Betty Mayberry and Kathern Burroughs, both of the Nameless community of Jackson County, TN. 7 Grandchildren and 2 Great-Grandchildren also survive.
