Memorial services for Mrs. Barbara Jean Dudney, 80, of Gainesboro, TN, will be held at 1 P.M. on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home in Gainesboro, TN. Mrs. Barbara Jean Dudney had chosen cremation. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until time of services. She passed away on Sunday, February 3, 2019, at Cookeville Regional Medical Center. She was born July 11, 1938, in Gainesboro, TN, to the late Averette Dudney and Mary Shephard Dudney. She was a factory worker at Nielsen, and attended the Fairview Free Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 Brother: Joe Edward Dudney; and 2 Brothers-in-law: Bobby Vanhooser and Sam Poteet. Survivors include 1 Daughter: Delisa (Billy) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN; 3 Grandchildren: B.J. (Selina) Spivey of Gainesboro, TN, Audrey Joe Spivey and Special Friend, Justin Atkins of Nashville, TN, and Peggy (Bobby) Stacey of Crossville, TN; 12 Great Grandchildren: Banx, Baylah, Brystal, Kristin, Kaitlin, Luke, A.J., Cole, Logan, Jayden, Timothy, and Nickolas; 1 Great Great Grandchild: Jace; 1 Brother: Jimmie (Carol) Dudney of Gainesboro, TN; and 2 Sisters: Carol Poteet of Gainesboro, TN, and Jan (David) Shaw of Cookeville, TN. Bro. Jimmy Anderson will officiate at the services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to help with funeral expenses by contacting the funeral home.
