B.A. Hamlet

Funeral services for Mr. B.A. Hamlet, 79, of Gainesboro, Tennessee, will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, September 9, at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Pharris Cemetery in the McCoinsville community of Jackson County. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 P.M. - 10 P.M., and Friday from 9 A.M. until time of services at Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Mr. Hamlet passed away on Thursday, September 8, 2005, at his residence. He was born November 8, 1925, in Jackson County, Tennessee, to the late Arthur Lee Hamlet and Sarah Elizabeth Allen Hamlet. On May 10, 1947, he was married to Margie Allen Hamlet, who survives. Mr. Hamlet was a carpenter. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 Brothers: Clyde Hamlet, Willie B. Hamlet, Charles Hamlet, and Joe Hamlet; and 3 Sisters: Ruby Wassill, Carrie Lee Green, and Mary Jane Hamlet. Survivors include his Wife: Margie Allen Hamlet of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Son: Robert Clay (Linda) Hamlet of Gainesboro, TN; 1 Grandson: Barry Hamlet of Gainesboro, TN; 2 Sisters: Linda Dailey of Gainesboro, TN, and Jewell Raines of Gainesboro, TN; and Special Friends: Pat, Mike, and J.W.
