Avis T. Brady

Funeral services for Mr. Avis T. Brady, 86, of the New Hope community of Jackson County, Tennessee, will be held at 1 P.M. on Wednesday, January 17, 2007, at Anderson - Upper Cumberland Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the New Hope Cemetery in the New Hope Community of Jackson County, TN. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4 - 7 P.M., and on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until time of services. Mr. Brady passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2007, at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, Tennessee. He was born May 11, 1920, in Overton County, TN, to the late Robert Lee Brady and Arna Belle Carwile Brady. He was married to Zenith Brady, who survives. Mr. Brady was an inspect group leader at General Motors in Dayton, Ohio, and a member of the New Hope Community Church. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Melvin Brady and Vergil Brady; his second wife: Eunice Brady; and 2 Step-Sons: Gary Porter and Randy Porter. Survivors include his wife: Zenith Brady of Rickman, TN; 2 Sons: Jerry Brady of Dayton, Ohio, and Rev. Danny Ray and Judith Brady of Jacksonville, FL; 2 Step-Sons: Don Porter and William Porter, both of Rickman, TN; 1 Daughter and Son- in-Law: Diana and Danny Porter of Hilham, TN; 2 Step- Daughters: Jan Mundabaugh and Cathy Miller, both of Dayton, Ohio; 1 Sister: Reba Adele Brady of Hilham, TN; and 2 Sisters- in-Law: Mary Willie Brady of Hilham, TN, and Ina Brady of Dayton, Ohio. 6 Grandchildren, several great- grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren also survive. .
